The community of Saint Joseph is mourning the tragic loss of Teresa D. Bretherick, 61, who died following a serious two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 43 near Killen, Alabama, on April 30. Investigators confirmed that the impact was severe, and Bretherick, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from her vehicle. Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided life-saving measures before she was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital. Despite medical efforts, she was later pronounced deceased.

Two 18-year-olds in the other vehicle were also injured and transported for treatment. Additionally, Kimberly Spears, 57, of Florence, a passenger in Bretherick’s Jeep Wrangler, was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for medical care.
