Christopher Guallpa-Lema Motorcycle Accident Teen Has died in a motorcycle crash on Hawleyville Road in Newtown
The Danbury community is mourning the tragic loss of 18-year-old Christopher Guallpa-Lema, whose life was cut short in a devastating motorcycle crash on Monday evening in Newtown.
According to the Newtown Police Department, officers responded to the area near North Ridge Drive on Hawleyville Road at approximately 5:49 p.m. following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a box truck. Investigators say Christopher was traveling northbound on a black Kawasaki motorcycle when he struck the rear of a FedEx delivery truck.
Despite the swift response from emergency personnel, Christopher was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities closed Hawleyville Road for several hours as crash reconstruction teams processed the scene. The roadway later reopened around 10 p.m., and the incident remains under active investigation.
