Jaykub E. Anderson Car Accident Argyle, WI Death: In Loving Memory
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of Jaykub E. Anderson, 32, of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, whose life was tragically and unexpectedly lost in a devastating crash in Argyle, Wisconsin.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal incident occurred along the 5000 block of State Highway 81 during the early morning hours on Thursday, around 5:30 a.m. Investigators report that Jaykub was operating a 2012 Peterbilt quad-axle milk truck traveling westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway.
Authorities believe the truck traveled off the north side of STH 81, continued through a ditch, and proceeded toward the edge of an abandoned quarry. The vehicle ultimately went over the edge and fell into the quarry below, resulting in a severe and catastrophic impact. The truck overturned upon landing, and the force of the crash caused significant structural damage, including separation of the milk tank from the chassis.
Emergency crews were dispatched later that morning, shortly before noon, after reports of a serious crash. Responding agencies included the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Argyle Fire Department, Argyle EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the Lafayette County Highway Department. Despite coordinated recovery efforts, Jaykub E. Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lafayette County Coroner’s Office. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Due to the difficult terrain and extent of the wreckage, recovery operations were complex, and State Highway 81 was reduced to one lane for several hours as officials worked carefully to investigate and clear the site.
At this time, authorities have not determined why the truck left the roadway, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to review all possible contributing factors.
Jaykub is remembered by those who knew him as a hardworking individual whose life was cut short in a sudden and tragic moment. His passing has left his family, friends, and community grieving a profound loss.
